Caddick Construction drives forward with Seat Skoda project

Yorkshire based Caddick Construction has completed the cladding and glazing at D. M Keith’s Skoda and SEAT dealership on Wigginton Road in York.

As the 26 week project, valued at £1.8 million, heads towards its completion date of February 2016, the impressive showroom is beginning to take shape with more than 30 panes of glass being installed.

Andrew Murray, Managing Director at Caddick Construction, comments: “This project involved the partial demolition of the existing showroom in order to construct a new extension, as well as major changes to the showroom elevation. In addition to the cladding and glazing completion, the two new showrooms are up, along with the front façade; we’re now concentrating on finalising the block pathing footpath before the festive period.

“We’re delighted to have picked up another automotive contract following the successful completion of the BMW and Mini showroom in Leeds. We have a wealth of experience to draw on and the Skoda and SEAT showroom will be visually impressive whilst meeting the aim of being customer friendly.”

Angus Keith, director at DM Keith the Uk’s largest Skoda retailer, said: “Seeing the glazing and cladding completed is a fantastic milestone in the build, we can really visualise the impending finished product. Caddick has great credentials in the automotive sector and I’m certain the completed showroom will stand-out and meet staff and customer requirements.

“We pride ourselves on being one of Yorkshire’s top dealerships and this is something that we want to maintain. The new design is much more dynamic with modern architecture. It’ll really help to improve the exterior visibility throughout the day and night as well as becoming a really attractive showroom.”
