Caddick Construction has donated £500 to Derian House, a hospice in Chorley that provides respite and end-of-life care to more than 400 children and young people across the North West.
The Caddick Construction team is working on a project in nearby Leyland and admired the work and vital support Derian House provides for local families.
Michelle Swarbrick, North West Framework Scholarship Manager from Caddick Construction says: “The last year and a half has been incredibly challenging for charities so we are always keen to lend a helping hand to great causes within the communities in which we are working.
“Derian House is free for families and relies heavily on charitable donations and the team was pleased to be able to contribute.”
The care provided at Derian House is free for families, but services cost £5million to run every year. With only 12 per cent of funding coming from the government, the charity relies heavily on the generosity of its supporters and corporate partners.
