Cedar cladding used to transform Regatta’s Head Office

The external façade of Regatta Group’s head office is being transformed as part of its £7 million conversion project.

Cedar cladding has been installed around the structure, which is home to brands including Regatta, Dare2b, Craghoppers and Hawkshead.

The material is a great renewable resource, which will transform the older industrial building, and it has taken six weeks to complete this stage of the project. Caddick Construction has been awarded the contract, which involves converting Regatta’s existing industrial warehouse in Urmston into a corporate Head office facility, with completion expected by March 2015.

Ian Plowman, Operations Director at Caddick Construction, comments: “Being able to use cedar cladding on this building has given it a new lease of life. Everyone involved in this project has been eager to see this phase of work completed as it’s quite unique to see this type of material on this sort of building.

“It has been quite a detailed process installing the cladding, and we wanted to get it right. We are really pleased at how well it has turned out - it looks different from different angles and really stands out.”

Architects Fletcher Rae UK, with Space Invader Interior Designers, has led the design development process for this innovative building solution.
