Construction team from Liverpool Shopping Park conduct site safety talks at local schools

Caddick Construction, the team currently on site building the new Liverpool Shopping Park, today visited Kensington Primary School on Brae Street and Northway Primary & Nursery School to conduct a site safety talk.

The team also challenged the children to a poster competition which will result in six children (three pupils from each school) winning the opportunity to have their art work displayed on site hoardings.

Both schools had an assembly to learn about the dangers of playing on a building site and also met Ivor Goodsite, the Considerate Constructors mascot, who assisted in the explanation of why Personal Protective Equipment is worn on a building site.

Debbie Watson, Marketing Manager at Caddick Construction, said: “Visiting both Kensington and Northway Primary was a great experience. Caddick Construction is committed to serving the local community in areas in which they work, including educating local schools about safety on building site.

“The children really enjoyed learning about how a building site functions and learned lots about the dangers associated with a live site. Ivor Goodsite was well received too! We’re looking forward to announcing the winners of the art competition in the coming weeks.”
