Liverpool Shopping Park 'comes out of the ground'

Liverpool Shopping Park 'comes out of the ground'

Construction of Liverpool Shopping Park is progressing at a pace as a new steel structure comes out of the ground.

Caddick Construction has used more than 250 tonnes of steel to create a large retail unit located on the site of the former Blockbusters store and Subway (across the junction of Rathbone Road and Edge Lane).  Comprising 40,000 sq ft of indoor space and an additional 10,000 sq ft outdoor area, it will be joined by two other units totaling 10,000 sq ft each.

These units form part of the 727,000 sq ft Liverpool Shopping Park and will be dedicated to lifestyle, home, and interiors retailers.  In total Liverpool Shopping Park will comprise 41 retail units as well as parking for 1500 cars and a significant leisure offer when it is complete at the end of 2017.  It is expected to create more than 1000 jobs.
