Caddick were awarded the contract to design and build Wakefield515, a new 512,850 sq ft cross-docked logistics warehouse in Knottingley.
The works included the construction of a steel-framed single storey 488,500 sq ft warehouse, a 16,000 sq ft 2 storey office accommodation, and an 8,000 sq ft hub office.
External works included the construction of 350 sq ft gatehouse, 229 HGV trailer parking spaces, 393 car parking spaces, 8 electric vehicle parking spaces, 8 level access doors, and 80 dock doors.
The scheme incorporated sustainable features including rainwater harvesting systems, use of energy-efficient materials, PV ready roof, and LED motor sensor lighting. The building was built to a BREEAM rating of 'Very Good' and EPC rating of 'A'.
Our latest completed development has gone extremely smoothly despite all the challenges everyone has seen in the last 14 months. The Caddick team integrated with Panattoni to ensure a high-quality facility that had occupiers interested very early on.
