Caddick were awarded the contract to upgrade Hopwood Hall in Middleton to provide additional College space and offer students a modern and compliant educational building.
The project included an extension to the existing Refectory to the Henry West Building; the construction of a new extension to the Technical Centre, Technical Centre Annex and a new waste facility; refurbishment and alterations to the existing Technical Centre Annex and the construction of a new extension to the Annex rear.
The new facilities provide specialist teaching workshops as well as new classrooms, stores, staff rooms, meeting rooms, toilets and circulation areas.
All associated M&E services and drainage works were also undertaken.
The works were carried out in phases to minimise disruption to teaching and learning.
