Unit 1, Farington Park, Leyland

The works comprised the construction of a 544,000 sq ft single-sided loading warehouse and logistics facility. The facility houses a 1,000 sq ft ground floor reception, a 20,000 sq ft office on the first and second floor plus a 50,000 sq ft transport office with the first floor being fit out and the ground floor for storage. 

External works consisted of a gatehouse and a 60m deep concrete service yard with 62 truck parking spaces and access to 50 dock-level loading doors with 4 ground-level loading doors. Also, external works will include 506 spaces for electric vehicle charging and 16 disabled parking spaces. There will also be 26 spaces for motorcycles and storage for 60 bicycles. 

The unit will be designed and constructed to an 'Excellent' rating under the latest BREEAM legislation.
