Caddick completes much needed logistics space in Greater Manchester

Caddick Construction has handed over two high-specification industrial units at Ocean Street in Altrincham on behalf of Quorum and their funding partners, The Greater Manchester Pension Fund.

The £7m enterprise scheme marks the second project that Caddick Construction has delivered on behalf of Quorum, with the family-run construction firm having previously delivered Q110, a state-of-the-art industrial facility in Crewe.

The build programme saw the construction of two steel frame industrial units reaching 37,000s sq.ft and 25,000 sq ft. respectively, both of which are on course for BREEAM ‘very good’, and an EPC rating of ‘A’.

External facilities also include 5-level access doors, landscaping, drainage, and a new site entrance onto George Richards Way. The site also features 80 car parking spaces, seven of which are equipped with EV charging stations to encourage sustainable travel.

Conveniently located close to Junction 8 of the M56 and Junction 7 of the M60, Ocean Street offers its occupiers a highly accessible trading location, with a thriving business and retail community right on its doorstep.

In the industrial sector, Caddick Construction’s North West team has recently completed DPD’s new Carlisle distribution centre, and is currently building RedSun’s new Wirral industrial development, Croft Retail Park whilst also bringing to life Caddick Developments’ new Farrington Park, in Leyland.
