Caddick Construction supports local author book launch

Primary school children from across Leeds swapped their thinking caps for hard hats at a local author’s book launch today, as Yorkshire-based Caddick Construction hosted a live book reading at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

Students from Silcoates School, Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Brudenell Primary School and Adel Primary School attended the Stadium for a reading by Leeds grandmother Chris Madeley of her latest book Cones on Site, all about staying safe on construction sites.

The children were also treated to a talk from Steve Pitts,  Project Manager at Caddick Construction. He spoke to students about the importance of protective clothing on site. Afterwards, there was the chance to see a brand new excavator up close.
